Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio vs Bmw M3: Which do you buy?

ALFA ROMEO GIULIA QUADRIFOGLIO : WILL CAN UNDERMINE BMW M3?

Finally, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio came between us. The BMW M3 has finally a rival from the same technical characteristics with which to confront (the brands Audi and Mercedes on their medium sports, in my opinion, have cars, however, more civilized and voted then to also provide a comfortable touring).

“The mechanics of emotions“. So reads the slogan Alfa Romeo to launch road Alfa fastest and most powerful ever.

As in other articles, I remind you once again that we are not here to write down everything that you read on the web repeated hundreds of times.

Technically I’ll just tell you that in addition to an aluminum engine of 2.9 liters of displacement, V6 turbo with 510 hp, developed in collaboration with Ferrari, Alfa Romeo deserves praise for the return to rear-wheel drive, weight distribution 50:50 and components such as the drive shaft, the hood and carbon fiber roof in addition to the carbon-ceramic brake discs, (denoting the firm will of Alfa Romeo to return protagonist in the world of premium sports sedans class).

Never seen anything like this on an Alfa Romeo !! The result? An unprecedented driving pleasure!

Even better the exceptional drivability of the BMW M3 ??? (Or M4?)

I personally  had the opportunity to test the BMW M3 but not yet the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio: the first really stunning performance and Alfa technical specifications make me say without fear of contradiction that the handling will be similar to or greater, but …

With that “but” I just want to remind you that both have benefits for which it will be impossible to achieve the limit on the prevailing operating area, that is the way (and certainly not the track).

For this reason, the purpose of the choice, it would be better to focus on four key elements:
• Price: the price lists for both are similar in which to spend a few thousand euro more or less than 80,000, I do not think it make any difference
• Body & Interior: I am sure that as with almost all of the choices in the automotive field and not, this will be the factor that will favor the one or the other, provided that both bodies are beautiful and that as for the interior, the Giulia has approached the quality of BMW, to the point to be like her as far as sportsmanship, assembly and clean lines no frills;
• Residual value: This is the element that is not taken into account almost never. For me, however, in today’s comparison it is the most important, because technically, any car you buy, you’re not wrong.
On paper, a symbol like the BMW M3, it would seem there is no history, so much so that the prices of BMW 3 series “M” are always interesting and after a decade begin to rise gradually, while the Alfa powerful in recent years have seen break down their residual value almost to zero.
But for the Giulia Quadrifoglio is another story, a new Alfa Romeo course which incorporates the glories of three decades ago … It takes a bit ‘of insight and experience … I think this time will be different …;
• Number of cars produced: perhaps the element to be taken more into account. Something tells me that the Alfa Romeo Giulia will achieve good sales numbers with the diesel engines, but not absolutely approaches the sales numbers of the BMW M3 / M4 in the Quadrifoglio version. In essence they will sell a few. In a few years a car so technically sound and mechanical solutions supercar could be much sought after …
